The main point of the book is Mrs. Frisby and her family had to move to their summer home before Mr. Fitzgibbon plowed, but they couln't because the youngest son, Timothy, was sick. Timothy had pnuemonia and Mr. Ages, the doctor, said that he must stay in bed wrapped in blankets. With Timothy sick, the family couldn't move and Mrs. Frisby needed to go to the rats. After the rats agreed to help her, Mrs. Frisby had to put powder in the cat's bowl and got trapped. Thankfully, she heard the Fitzgibbons talking about exterminating the rats and warned her friends. Finally, the Frisby's house got moved and the rats prepared to ecscape. When the exterminators came, the rat's were ready with a plan. Almost all of them ecscaped and Mrs. Frisby moved her family with the hope of visiting their friends again some day.
